Ryanair Prepares to Expand Its Sarajevo Route Network

Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair is planning to expand its operations in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The airline is reportedly preparing to launch three new international routes under a new incentive program.

The Sarajevo Canton government’s latest airline incentive initiatives aim to expand the airport’s international route network and increase tourist arrivals to the region.

Ryanair is expected to expand its Sarajevo operations and add new destinations to its network during the summer 2027 season. However, no official announcement has yet been made regarding the exact number of new routes or the cities to be served.

Ryanair, which launched flights from Sarajevo in March 2024, continues to operate in the Bosnian market with services to various European destinations.

Further details about the new routes are expected to be announced as the incentive process progresses and plans for the summer 2027 schedule are finalized.
